New Year, New Craft Blog Post

Hey Belle Hey-

Welcome to ‘23

Last year’s first blog post focused on crafts I wanted to complete. I did a lot of them but not all of them so I thought rather than focusing on that this year I would get straight to crafting because I have a lot of projects that are on my finish list sitting in the PGP Studio.

The first craft in ‘23 is adding some DIY to a Target find.

A little over a year ago, I had the opportunity to join Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. In addition to community service we regularly come together for meetings and other events. With that, I needed an additional jewelry box since my original one is full from my Grandmother. I was in Target and found one that would take up minimum space and the clear top would allow me to see my pins easily.

One of the things I really liked about this project is that I was able to use items in my studio already. I grabbed some pink and green vinyl and used my Cricut Joy to cut out our letters for the top of the jewelry box.

Belle Tip: Use a scraper with protective fabric to avoid scratching the glass.

Once the letters were added, I used Beacon Gem Tac Glue to adhere pearls on the around the top of the jewelry box. You could easily add diamonds are paint the jewelry box as well.

And just like that, one craft down in ‘23 and at least 12 more to go…What are you hoping to craft up this year Belles? Comment Below and….

As Always,

#MakeSomethingFabulous
