Happy July! Somehow, I missed June’s blog but I have been very busy in the PGPStudio. I have caught up on my scrapbooking and I’ve finally gotten a scrapbook system down that I will share in a few months (just needs a little perfecting). I also tried puff vinyl finally…Don’t worry a DIY for that is coming up. I even managed to add a new and much needed light to my desk in the PGPStudio.
With all of my crafting going on I realized that I was out of my quick cheer cards that I keep in my office during the day. Since I needed to make some I figured this would be a an easy #howholly post and useful for those times when you run across a friend or colleague that may need a little cheer.
I love sending cards even in the mail but I really enjoy adding my own special touch. One thing I enjoy grabbing are boxes of blank cards from a craft studio. For this project I grabbed a box that was on sale in JoAnn’s that included standard size cards I would mail and little cards that are perfect for handing out at work. The next thing I grabbed was June’s sentiment stamp from the June Stamp Society .
For this project I only opted to add a simple stamp onto the two solid color cards but you could trim a piece of cardstock down to add a statement and then add double-sided tape (or foam tape for dimension) to adhere the statement in the middle of a card that already has a design.
Belle Tip: Making these cards can be a great time to shop your stash. I could have easily decided to emboss the stamp for more shine but for one card I added a few jewels that I already had in my craft stash just to add an extra pop.
And just like that you have some cards that are ready for a colleague or friend.
