Hey Belle Hey-
It’s a new month and that totally means it’s time for a new post! Today’s post is not sponsored but it’s one that I feel is needed in the craft world. With so many people staying home (Thanks Rona) many of us are venturing out and trying new things. There are a tons of blog posts, Pins, Facebook Groups etc. on cutting machines and today’s post is devoted to the Cricut Joy and why I didn’t realize I needed one until I got one...lol
Cricut has a few machine options and each one has it’s own unique footprint. The main ones right now are: the Cricut Air 2 (it’s hung out on the blog here a few times), the Cricut Maker (hoping to land one soon), and the Cricut Joy (pictured above). The Joy is the smallest of the machine’s but I promise you it packs a mean punch and doesn’t disappoint…Keep reading for my top 3 reasons why you need this machine in your craft corner.
Reason 1: SCRAPS- If you are new to the crafting world you may be wondering what that means- Cricut and other crafting machines can be great for cutting vinyl and paper but sometimes depending on what you are making you have pieces of material left that would be great to use on future projects…hence the name Scraps. I have been crafting for some time and I try my best to save and reuse and as a result, I have a whole bin dedicated to scraps that I plan to revisit. The Cricut Joy has allowed me to make great use of my scrap vinyl and paper because of it’s petite size- the machine doesn’t fit the standard size paper so this machine allows me to get creative with reusing vinyl and paper.
2. CARDS- I am a big card maker/sender and I even have a few pen pals. The Cricut Joy has a card mat that is only for this machine and there are precut cards with the matching liner and envelopes that allow you to make the most unique cards. My godson was in a tizzy because the tooth fairy forgot to leave a dollar….my Joy came to the rescue without leaving my handwriting behind….He was so amazed that his name was on the envelope!
3. IT TRAVELS- This picture is not a stock photo. I have taken this little Joy in state and out of state. There are some great travel bags for all of the Cricut machines but packing this smaller machine makes you want to travel with your craft projects even more. I have made a quick birthday card on the go and some labels for different projects….It’s a blast to just craft on the go especially when you are on vacation at the beach
What would you make with a Cricut Machine- Comment Below
As Always,
