Hey Belle Hey-
It’s a new month and this month I’m covering one of my favorite things to DIY….Envelope Making with and without a liner.
This blog post will cover how to make an A7 envelope using Cricut Design Space and my Envelope Template to make a envelope with a liner inside and one without a liner.
Here’s what you'll need to make an envelope without a liner:
A piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper
Cricut Air 2 or Maker (scoring tool for each machine)
A tape runner or glue stick
A bone folder (optional)
Now that you have your supplies you will want to open the template in Cricut Design Space. Once design space is open you have the choice to delete or hide the pink address shapes (they are for the video later in this post) and you will want to use a solid color or piece of 12x12 scrapbook paper to cut out the design.
After cutting your envelope out you will notice the fold lines on your envelope. You will want to fold on each dotted line so that your envelope begin to take shape.
Belle Tip: The score lines are nice and clear but I like to use a bone folder to make sure my edges are crisp.
Once you have your lines folded use a tape runner or glue stick on the bottom flap and then fold it onto the sides of your envelope. This will make the card holder portion that your card will be placed into.
And just like that you have a custom envelope.
Another way to DIY an envelope and add some extra sparkle is by adding a liner on the inside of your envelope before securing it with glue. Check it out here: Envelope with a Liner
