Hey Belle Hey-
Have you ever had a craft that you have been meaning to do forever….well this is one I can finally check off my list….today I’m DIYing a customized paint can filled with school supplies because little people will be headed to the classroom soon!
This DIY won’t get you that dirty unless you decide to paint the can…Here’s what you’ll need
Clear Paint Can from the craft store (I purchased two different sizes in the picture below)
School Supplies (grab them while they are on sale)
Cricut Permanent Vinyl or 651 vinyl (I was able to use scrap vinyl)
Filler for the bucket (optional)
To get started with this project you want to gather your supplies. I used the larger paint can but you could consider the smaller can or using a pencil box as well. The next thing I did was cut out my design in design space. There are two designs. I used one for the paint can top and one for the clear can. You can grab the design here. I used 651 permanent vinyl from my scrap collection- this design has so many options, you could use traditional school colors or the colors of the school, or the favorite colors of the recipient.
After cutting out my design on permanent vinyl I used some crinkle paper to fill the bucket and then I added the school supplies. The large can will hold even more if you take the items out of the packaging- I opted to keep everything in it’s original packaging.
The next thing I did was add the designs. I chose to add one on the lid and on the bucket.
I hope this craft gives you some inspiration as we near the first day of school!
As Always,
